New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork has been ruled out for Week 2 with a left calf injury, according to the team’s injury report.

Wilfork has not played since Week 4 with a calf injury.

The Patriots announced Wilfork’s absence Sunday morning.

Wilkinson was on the field for the second consecutive game in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Wilfork was placed on injured reserve last month after undergoing surgery on a torn right ACL.

Wilkins was acquired from the Cleveland Browns in the draft in February.

The 31-year-old was a first-round pick in 2012 and was a starter at left tackle for two seasons before tearing the ACL in 2016.

He returned to action last season.
